My Philosophy —

Healing is an integrative act. There are many parts of the therapeutic journey that impact the client- the relationship with the therapist, the tools presented in the therapy hour, and the accountability provided by a trusted helper. Through a multitude of experiential processes and being mirrored by the therapist, clients may access more wellbeing. My goal is to make myself obsolete by helping you find your own strategies to navigate your life with more ease and grace.

  • For me, therapy is a process of both moving forward and sitting still. I find that when people seek my services, things have often not been working for some time before they decide it is time to ask for help. In this same way, I find that it is important to sit with you and gently sort through what is happening right now. Through this process of deep listening, we figure out what it is that is really bothering you and what it is that really needs to change. By holding a space of compassion and non-judgment, I help you gain the tools to become more of your authentic self.

Many people come to me saying they want more from therapy than to be validated. I am not here to simply hold your hand; I am here to help you gain the tools to make your life more manageable. I am here to help you make changes and envision a future for yourself. Together, we discover more resources within yourself to respond differently to the situations in your life. Taking an active approach, I both listen and teach from the body of knowledge I have access to.

I incorporate mindfulness, the body and other experiential tools to help us do the work. By moving out of just talking (or processing) in therapy towards more active exercises, I help you activate an emotional shift that many of us seek in therapy. Through an experience of feeling something different, new possibilities present themselves for us.

Many of us find ourselves wondering how to find meaning and purpose in the world. I help you explore Spiritual and Existential questions such as “Why am I here?” and “What is my purpose?” By getting clearer on our own life philosophy, it feels easier to navigate the world with more intention. I help you explore personal practices and rituals to deepen your connection to your spiritual path.

  • Does it feel like your relationship is in a rut?  Whether you are coming to therapy because you want to strengthen your bond, are trying to break out of old patterns or dealing with a relationship rupture; therapy can help. Entering therapy can help you re-ignite the connection and passion in the relationship by finding ways to grow together.

I help couples find a common language to communicate through differences. It can be overwhelming to find ways to be understood by our partner or feel our deepest needs are being met.  I help couples communicate their needs and find new agreements with each other that bring the relationship back into harmony.

Couples therapy can deepen a vulnerability and trust in the relationship. It can also build skills for communicating feelings and needs in a way that your partner can understand. Often it is through misunderstandings and un-communicated expectations that creates distance within the relationships. Finding clarity on what’s missing in your relationship can create more intimacy and compassion with your partner

    I see couples who are:

    • Engaged

    • Married

    • Dating

    • LGBTQQ+

    • Dealing with infidelity

    • Questioning the relationship

    • Non-monogamous

  • Current Groups:

    Every other Thursday 6:30-8pm:

U-Group is an Experiential and Process Group

(Please contact if you are interested)

U-Group is a process and experiential group where we explore topics like family struggles, loneliness and finding connection in a modern/technological world.

Group therapy is a great resource to feel more connected and a part of a community.  Group therapy can help people with issues of connection and lonliness.  The group serves as a supportive space that often resembles a family over time. Individuals of different backgrounds come together to provide a safe container for each others healing journey.
