Hi! Iām Cristiana Valenti
I hold a Master of Arts in Humanistic and Transpersonal Psychology from the University of West Georgia. My journey into therapy began in my teenage years through my deep engagement with self-help literature and spiritual exploration. From an early age, I felt a strong desire to help others, fueled by my empathy and a profound awareness of the struggles faced by individuals around me.
Initially, I pursued an undergraduate degree in Social Work, but soon realized that Psychology was a more natural fit for my aspirations. I have always been attuned to the emotions of those around me, which has shaped my approach to therapy. As a lifelong creative, I sought to integrate my artistic sensibilities with my therapeutic practice, leading me to establish my own private practice for greater freedom in the healing work I am passionate about.
My professional journey began at Skyland Trail, an inpatient facility where I gained valuable experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and learned how to support individuals dealing with severe challenges, including psychosis and suicidality. Over the past 15 years, I have developed a rich spiritual practice that honors the cycles of the earth and incorporates daily meditation. This personal work profoundly influences my approach with clients.
I specialize in shamanic practices and psychedelic integration, offering clients who are open to it the opportunity to explore their inner landscapes through personal rituals and guided visualization meditations. By integrating a non-religious, spiritual dimension into my therapy sessions, I aim to enliven the therapeutic process and help clients connect with their higher selves.
Cristiana the Creator
As a cultural creative, I have always been inspired by diverse forms of self-expression. My artistic journey has led me to explore various mediums, including performance and circus arts, poetry, and painting. For me, creating art is a therapeutic process of transformation and mindfulness. I believe that all life is art, and I strive to infuse beauty into every environment I encounter. I weave this approach into the therapy process by welcoming clients to explore their own self-expression.
